We want eat and drink well, even when we don’t have time to make something decent ourselves, and we are delighted to support our favourite independent cafés dotted around Cornwall.

Like all our guides, this is very much a work in progress and as I discover more top spots, I will add them. All recommendations are dated for context - in Cornwall, more than most places, a great spot in one year can be one to avoid the next.

Our guides include places to avoid as well as those we recommend, part of the reason we put this behind a paywall is so that we can be completely candid. Some of these spots are run by our friends and a few of them we supply with either wine, food or both, we will always disclose these connections.
